My name is Christopher Bowen, and this is Motivate Your Estate.

Let me tell you where this all really started.

🇯🇲 Growing Up in Hanbury, Mandeville

I grew up in a small district in Jamaica called Hanbury, where life was simple, joyful, and humbling all at the same time.

I like telling people this because it shocks them every time:

I didn’t know I grew up “poor” until I moved to America.

In Hanbury:

Kids played football barefoot with no complaints
We made toys out of cardboard boxes and old tires
Evenings were full of play, laughter, and community
Life wasn’t fancy — but it was REAL

And I was raised by some of the strongest women alive:
my mother, grandmother, and aunts.
They taught me resilience, discipline, independence, and love.

Those women created the foundation for the man I am today.

✈️ Coming to America at 17: The Big Reset

At 17, I moved to the States to live with my dad.

Listen… I came here thinking:
“Everybody rich in America.”

Life quickly said,
“No sah… that’s not how it works.”

It was a culture shock — the pace, the expectations, the lifestyle.
But the opportunity?
It was undeniable.

America gave me a chance to build a career I didn’t even know existed growing up in Jamaica.

🏥 Healthcare: The Path I Never Saw Coming

I became a Respiratory Therapist, and that job changed me in ways I didn’t expect.

Healthcare teaches you:

purpose
patience
pressure management
compassion
leadership
and how to keep going even when you're exhausted

Night shift?
Whole different planet.

You walk into work one person…
You come out looking like you wrestled life and barely made it home.

But it built me.
It grounded me.
It reminded me why helping people matters.

I later stepped into leadership as an Alliance Partnership Representative at Kaiser —
another chapter that strengthened my voice, my influence, and my purpose.

🏡 Real Estate: My Rise, My Slowdown, and My Rebuild

In 2020, I became a Realtor — and the first two years?

🔥 I was MOVING.
🔥 Clients.
🔥 Closings.
🔥 Confidence.
🔥 Growth.

I truly felt like, “Yes man, this is it — a new chapter.”

Then the market shifted.
Life slowed down.
Real estate cooled off.
Leads weren’t the same.
Income wasn’t the same.

So I did what I’ve always done when life changes:

I pivoted.
I rebuilt.
I got back to the grind.

I picked up night shifts at Scripps.
I continued serving as an APR at Kaiser.
I focused on discipline, consistency, and rebuilding my estate one step at a time.

I’m not a guru.
I’m not a 20-rental investor.
I’m a man in his rebuilding season —
and that season is POWERFUL.

😄 Who I Am Today

If we ever meet, you’ll learn a few things fast:

I love to laugh
I look for the positive first
People open up to me easily — even strangers
I genuinely love helping people
And yes… I say it all the time:
“The universe loves me.”
